SO glad we stopped in today- what a wonderful place My daughter loves food, but struggles to find things she can have because of all her allergies. She's totally in heaven with the cookies, scone, and cake- and the waffle and avo toast were bomb too! Not to mention, the atmosphere is pretty adorable and fun. A place like this means a lot to us

My gluten and dairy free coworkers have visited a few times and the drinks are always delicious (and worth the wait if there's a line). Only place I have found that makes dairy-free Vietnamese coffee. I plan to try some matcha drinks soon (coworkers have liked them). Went on a Saturday to get some work done. Was able to find a table towards the back and they have good WiFi. Seating is limited so don't be surprised if there's no spot available cuz this place is going to be a favorite of mine. **If you drive, only street parking or use of a city garage are available. There's also a step to enter from the sidewalk and I haven't seen a ramp for easy wheelchair access.

I LOVE the atmosphere here and the food was good! I ordered: -Iced Strawberry Matcha (I got it with oatmilk) $7 -Iced Vegan Horchata Matcha $7.5 -Avocado toast $7 Total: $21.50 :)) The Iced Strawberry Matcha was good and not too sweet. My favorite, though, was the Iced Vegan Horchata Matcha, it had great flavor! The avocado toast was good, though a bit salty for me personally. I really appreciate that they offer gluten-free and dairy-free options. I was hoping to try the baked goods and hot waffle, but they weren’t ready yet when I came around 8:20am. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for reading or studying, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Matchacita is a hidden gem worth visiting! If I lived in the area, I would no doubt be a regular. The atmosphere is alive with a darling pastel color scheme and effortlessly Instagrammable details. Service was outstanding; cheerful, sincere, hospitable. And, of course, my horchata matcha and waffle were perfect beyond the scope of what language can convey; the waffle was served with a consistently crisp (but still delicate!) exterior and the fluffiest middle, topped with truly fresh fruit, and exceeded my expectations!! I highly recommend for VEGANS! And SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!

Matchacita is a total Downtown Kalamazoo gem and amazing new addition to The Mall! The location is perfect, with great foot traffic and a cozy spot to people-watch or get work done. The atmosphere inside is modern, welcoming, and full of good energy. You can tell it’s been thoughtfully designed, down to every little detail. As someone who appreciates plant-based options, I was so impressed with their vegan menu — super fresh, flavorful, and creative. Whether you're grabbing a light bite or a full lunch, there’s something for everyone. And the drinks? Next level. Their matcha teas are smooth, delicious, creative and perfectly balanced, and their coffee creations are just as impressive — bold, unique, and beautifully made. You can taste the quality in every sip. Highly recommend Matchacita whether you’re a local or just passing through. It’s easily one of the best spots in Kalamazoo for great food, drinks, and vibes!

As someone who is gluten-free and someone who loves good matcha, I was very happy to see Matchacita open a brick-and-mortar shop downtown after visiting them weekly at the Farmer's Market during the summer. Their matcha drinks (golden matcha and black sesame matcha are my favorites!) are phenomenal, and their baked goods (waffles, too) are absolutely fantastic. The new vegan chocolate donut I tried today was rich, moist, and an absolute delight. Walk... no, RUN downtown and check them out.

Awesome gluten free and vegan options, definitely not your average cafe! They’re always bringing something refreshing new and delicious to the table. Always a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
